Community Fund Honors Jake Katzenberger with a Park Memorial

Some legacies are too big to be contained. Jake Katzenberger was a joyful, energetic 7-year-old from St. Charles remembered for his contagious smile and love of sports. After passing away in August 2023, Jake left behind a legacy even greater than his years — saving the lives of two children through organ donation. Now, the Village of St. Charles and the Saginaw Community Foundation are working together to honor Jake with a tunnel and treehouse memorial at Coal Miners Park, a place designed to spark the same imagination and energy Jake brought to everyone around him.
