Choosing White Orthodontics

Once you decide to move forward, the real excitement begins. We’ll help you choose between options like braces or Invisalign, depending on your lifestyle, preferences, and goals. Then we:
  • Review your treatment plan and financial agreement
  • Answer any final questions
  • Schedule your first official appointment
  • Celebrate your decision (yes, there may be high-fives involved)
Our goal is for you to feel confident.

Treatment Has Begun—Now What?

This is where we work together. Orthodontic treatment works around the clock, but staying on track requires consistency and teamwork. Appointment timing depends on your treatment type:
  • Invisalign in Saginaw (Clear Aligners): about every 12–18 week, even fewer visits with Remote Monitoring (Grin)
  • Braces in Saginaw: every 6–10 weeks
We understand life gets busy, so we do our best to coordinate family appointments for your convenience.
What Happens at Your Appointments?   Clear Aligners (20–30 minutes):
  • Check aligner fit and tooth movement
  • Remove attachments or place new attachments if needed
  • Take a new digital iTero scan and progress photos
  • Evaluate treatment progress
  • Provide your next sets of aligners
Braces (30–40 minutes):
  • Remove ties and wires
  • Brush teeth and floss without wires in
  • Adjust brackets and place new archwires
  • Let you choose new colors

How to Keep Your Treatment on Track

Think of orthodontic treatment as a team effort: you, Dr. White, and our team working together toward the same goal. Here’s how to keep things moving smoothly: 1. Keep Your Appointments Staying on schedule is the fastest way to achieve your best smile. 2. Take Great Care of Your Teeth Excellent brushing and flossing are essential—whether you choose Invisalign or braces. For aligners:
  • Wear them as directed, 22 hours each day
  • Keep them clean
For braces:
  • Brush properly (we can show you techniques if you’d like some guidance)
  • Avoid sugary drinks and hard foods
We’re here to coach you and help you stay on track. 3. Watch What You Eat
  • Invisalign: Eat what you want—just remove your aligners first and brush before putting aligners back in
  • Braces: Stick to braces-friendly foods to avoid breakages and delays in treatment
Small choices make a big difference in keeping your treatment on track.

Your Smile, Your Timeline

At White Orthodontics, we’re about so much more than braces and Invisalign—we form partnerships and care about tour patients having the best overall experience.
